At SnapForge, we value your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

Information We Collect

Account Data

When you sign in with Google, we collect your email address, display name, and profile picture URL. We use Google OAuth for authentication — we never see or store your Google password.

Screenshots & Cloud Storage (Pro Users)

If you use our Cloud Storage feature, your screenshots are uploaded to our secure servers hosted on Supabase. Screenshots remain private to your account unless you choose to share them.

Presets

Your customization presets are synced to our servers so you can access them across devices.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store your credit card details or payment information. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status.

Local Data

For users who don't sign in, all data (screenshots, settings, preferences) stays on your device in Chrome's local storage.

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide the service — Manage your account, sync presets, store cloud screenshots
  • Process payments — Fulfill subscription purchases through Lemon Squeezy
  • Improve SnapForge — Fix bugs and enhance features (we don't track individual usage)

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase, a secure SOC 2 compliant infrastructure. All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption. We implement Row Level Security, meaning you can only access your own data.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate SnapForge:

  • Supabase — Authentication and data storage (supabase.com/privacy)
  • Google — Sign-in via OAuth (policies.google.com/privacy)
  • Lemon Squeezy — Payment processing (lemonsqueezy.com/privacy)

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We only share data with the service providers listed above to operate SnapForge.

Your Choices

  • Delete your account — Contact us to permanently delete all your data
  • Use without signing in — The core screenshot features work without an account
  • Uninstall — Removes all local extension data from your device

Chrome Extension Permissions

  • activeTab — Capture the visible webpage when you request a screenshot
  • tabs — Open the editor and detect which tab to capture
  • scripting — Inject the capture script into the page
  • storage — Save your preferences locally
  • downloads — Save screenshots to your computer
  • clipboardWrite — Copy screenshots to your clipboard
  • identity — Enable Google Sign-In

Children's Privacy

SnapForge is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We'll update this policy when our practices change. Significant updates will be communicated through the extension or our website.
